Rational Basis Functions for Robust Identification from Frequency and Time-Domain Measurements

چکیده
This paper investigates the use of general bases with fixed poles for the purposes of robust estimation. These bases, which generalise the common FIR, Laguerre and two–parameter Kautz ones, are shown to be fundamental in the disc algebra provided a very mild condition on the choice of poles is satisfied. It is also shown, that by using a min–max criterion, these bases lead to robust estimators for which error bounds in different norms can be explicitly quantified. The key idea facilitating this analysis is to re–parameterise the model structures into new ones with equivalent fixed poles, but for which the basis functions are orthonormal inH2.

Robust Fuzzy Gain-Scheduled Control of the 3-Phase IPMSM
This article presents a fuzzy robust Mixed - Sensitivity Gain - Scheduled H controller based on the Loop -Shaping methodology for a class of MIMO uncertain nonlinear Time - Varying systems. In order to design this controller, the nonlinear parameter - dependent plant is first modeled as a set of linear subsystems by Takagi and Sugeno’s (T - S) fuzzy approach. Both Loop - Shaping methodology and...
متن کاملParametric Identification of Frequency Domain Systems Using Orthonormal Rational Bases
This paper presents a new robust algorithm for the identification of linear time-invariant systems in the frequency domain. The method is computationally very efficient, and accurately synthesises transfer functions which require a large amount of poles. Some numerical difficulties are avoided by combining the use of a Sanathanan-Koerner iteration and orthonormal rational functions.
متن کاملHeuristic Process Model Simplification in Frequency Response Domain
Frequency response diagrams of a system include detailed and recognizable information about the structural and parameter effects of the transfer function model of the system. The information are qualitatively and quantitatively obtainable from simultaneous consideration of amplitude ratio and phase information. In this paper, some rules and relationships are presented for making use of frequenc...
متن کاملOrthogonal basis functions in discrete least squares rational approximation
We consider a problem that arises in the field of frequency domain system identification. If a discrete-time system has an input-output relation Y (z) = G(z)U(z), with transfer function G, then the problem is to find a rational approximation Ĝn for G. The data given are measurements of input and output spectra in the frequency points zk: {U(zk), Y (zk)}k=1 together with some weight. The approxi...
متن کاملA new technique for bearing fault detection in the time-frequency domain
This paper presents a new Fast Kurtogram Method in the time-frequency domain using novel types of statistical features instead of the kurtosis. For this study, the problem of four classes for Bearing Fault Detection is investigated using various statistical features. This research is conducted in four stages. At first, the stability of each feature for each fault mode is investigated. Then, res...
